Youth: Bringing Heart Into Our City

Youth: Bringing Heart Into Our City

First and foremost, thanks to all the staff and volunteers who make each Sunday a safe place for youthful spirituality to flourish downstairs.

Second, and really awesome, thanks to all the new volunteers who are going to become ready, willing and able to support our Kids’ Space / Parents’ Night Out from 6:00p – 10:00p during the South Lake Union Block Party.

Finally, mark your calendars for the following Summer Breakaways — all-ages events created by the YFM Team to encourage youth and young-at-heart to get out into the world and experience joyful togetherness.

7/19 Make kites that soar together for an upcoming beach / park kite-flying trip.
7/26 All-Church, Friends & Family Picnic — with fun, artful activities for the young and young at heart.
8/2 Beach / park field trip after church — to fly those kites we’re making in July.
8/23 Ballard Locks to watch the running of the salmon.
9/27 Seattle Science Center Butterfly Exhibit — to see the beautiful outcome as the Deliquesence butterfly arrives after metamorphosis from caterpillar to pupa: inside there is a destruction, a dissolving, of the old to transform into the new.

To all the new volunteers, please watch your email / text for times and dates to complete the Darkness-to-Light training together.

Thanks in advance,

Charlie
