Worship Arts Blog
Three Minutes of Bliss
If you saw our Easter Service video, you enjoyed the 3 minute meditation featuring the sounds of bells and bowls, played by Andrea Cariño. For our first Worship Arts blog, we’re offering that piece here, too. Come back to it any time you need a pause.
A long time church member and current Board member, Andrea has appeared in many Sunday services, playing or singing with the Worship Arts teams.
Also known as Shiva Preet Kaur, she’s a musician, singer, songwriter, certified Kundalini yoga instructor as taught by Yogi Bhajan, sound and vibration practitioner, and lover of all sounds, songs and mantras that uplift the spirit. She shares her knowledge gained from years of studying with teachers from varied ancient practices and time-tested wisdom using a multitude of instruments, including voice, crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, flutes and drums, chimes, guitar, harmonium, and other sacred instruments.
Andrea collaborates and performs in many groups, including with Seattle Unity, in monthly healing concerts with Higher Sound, sound immersions with Guru Gayatri Yoga & Meditation Center, group meditation sound baths with Soundsation (a sound healing group she co-founded), and with Gina Salá in kirtan performances. She also offers private and small group sound sessions.
Andrea is forever grateful to all of her many teachers, and to the One who resides in all.
(and we’re forever grateful that Andrea is part of our community.)
