Saturday Night: Saoirse Open Mic!

Artwork by: oghamart . com
Seattle Unity Saoirse Open Mic
Saoirse (sur-shuh): an Irish word for “freedom.” The image above is written in ogham (the Irish alphabet).
This moment needs to ring with the voice of your big, beautiful, free spirit. Please join us to perform and take in a rainbow of art forms: music, poetry, storytelling, dance, comedy, drama, spiritual demonstration, you name IT! Each performer owns the stage for five minutes, so please time your work. The first twenty performers to sign up at the door get to perform.
Volunteers needed: host the door on the 1st floor until 6:15, host the sign-in table in Unity Hall, care for the kitchen, straighten/sweep Unity Hall afterward, take video of performers, time the performances, etc
Beverages and tidy, tidy snacks: bring beverages if you like. Beer and wine are fine. Tidy snacks too, if they are not crummy, dusty, smeary and the like; we need to quickly clean the kitchen for Sunday’s Service. The likes of grapes, almonds, chocolates & gummy fish are welcome. Soda bread, not so much.
Love offering: $2 Love offering encouraged, not required.

And for dessert:
The harp is a symbol of the free Irish voice. This tune is called a lament, but it lilts my heart to the heavens. May it lift yours.
