December 1st is the 30th Anniversary of Rev. Karen’s ministerial service to the Seattle Unity community. In June she celebrated 36 years as an ordained Unity Minister. During this time, she has devotedly served our community as co-minister, associate minister, and senior minister. She has walked with us through numerous challenges and celebrations; sitting at hospital bedsides and blessing hundreds through baptisms, weddings, and memorials. This in addition to the numerous ways she serves our community each week through Sunday and special services, classes, events, and pastoral counseling.
Most recently she is leading us through one of the most significant changes in Seattle Unity’s history as we released the physical structure that had served the community for 60 years and are building a new spiritual home.
Throughout this time, she has also served the greater Unity movement as a member of the admissions team, licensing & ordination team, field licensing team, the NW regional Board, and as a mentor.
As Rev. Karen walks her personal and spiritual journey she returns with insights and wisdom for the community. This is through experiences such as her retreats at the ashram, Chicago baseball, walking the Camino, and stand-up comedy. She has walked this ministry path with humility, patience, and grace; while being a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend.
Please join us via zoom on Sunday, December 6th to celebrate Rev. Karen Lindvig and her 30 years as our Seattle Unity Minister!
We’ll have a short appreciation program, a commemorative video, and a toast to Rev. Karen beginning at 10:45am (our usual post-service Fellowship hour). Please join us to recognize and honor this milestone anniversary.
