Creative Process Session with Erin McGaughan – FREE

Celebrating SU’s 2026 theme “Foundations” — bring your interest and experience to this session all about Creative Process.

It’s not just for artists or tech innovators.

Everyone creates, and many of us do it often enough to have “our process.”  Come share yours and learn about others, including some models for creative process from other creators throughout history and from different parts of the world.  How does the Wallas model resemble the Four Seasons model?  What are the “daemon/genius” models, and the “creative habit” models?

Most importantly, what are YOUR models of the creative process?

Some topics we’ll chew on:

  • What do you love best about your processes?  What feels like potential that you haven’t yet tapped?
  • Do you have multiple processes, for different contexts or modalities?
  • How is your process different now, from how it used to be? What illusions have you overcome?

This session is designed to work well across skill levels and modalities, from beginners to professionals from any type of creative work.
