SERMON DETAILS:

https://seattleunity.org—Rev. Karen Lindvig explores the everyday, ordinary miracles that enrich and often define our lives. Karen lays out key principles about what miracles are through the dictionary definition, and perspectives of Ray Bradbury and Eric Butterfield. Then she illustrates the way ordinary miracles happen all around us with a series of examples, including the decision one man from Russia made to prevent World War III.

Important quotations related to this sermon:

Ray Bradbury: “We are the miracle of force and matter making itself over into imagination and will. The Universe has shouted itself alive. We are one of the shouts.”

Merriam-Webster Dictionary: “Miracle: an extremely outstanding or unusual event, thing, or accomplishment.”

Eric Butterworth: “There are no miracles in an orderly universe. All things are possible under divine law.”

The key ideas related to this sermon:

1. Prayer, community and Love make fertile soil for miracles.

2. If we aren’t mindful, a miracle can be forgotten. Claim and celebrate the miracles in your life and be open to even more.
