Sunday Service Podcast November 21st – The Alchemy of Generosity

“What’s your focus?  Is your focus on what you have and being grateful for that? Because that will increase.  OR is the focus on what you have not? Because, guess what, whatever it is we focus on is what increases.”

Senior Minister Rev. Karen Lindvig begins a new series on The Alchemy of Generosity, which she tells us “takes the lead of greed and separation and envy, and turns it into the gold of giving, of an open heart, and of Oneness.” Through stories from scripture, Buddist tradition and personal life, she introduces the concepts around being in the flow of good in our world.

Melissa Mager gives the reading, excerpts from Kahlil’s Gibran’s “On Giving” from the Prophet.

The talk begins at 16:41 in this podcast.

Our Worship Arts team this time features guest Darryin Cunningham, with an original spoken word tune, written especially for this service.  Full service video is here.

Please join us in person next Sunday, at 10 a.m. at our Sodo venue, Metropolist.
