“If you’re doing dishes you’re doing God’s dishes. If you sweep the walk, you’re sweeping God’s walk. When you feed a homeless person, as Mother Theresa did, yes? You’re feeding God.”
Senior Minister Rev. Karen Lindvig returns to start this new series on the Alchemy of Service. She cites stories from history, everyday life, and other sources as diverse as the Bible, the Bagavad Gita, and Unity core principles. Through the next few weeks, we’ll dive deep into this rich topic to discover how service “takes the lead of self centeredness and transforms it into the gold of connection and Oneness”. Seattle Unity leadership also recently approved our joining the Faith Action Network, which includes 160 diverse ministries from Washington state, in efforts to magnify the good we can do in our world.
Rev. Karen’s talk begins at 18:31 in this podcast.
Please join us in person next Sunday, at 10 a.m. at our Sodo venue, Metropolist.
And take advantage of all the ways we can stay connected, including after-service fellowship, Daily Prayer Boosts, and Wednesday evening prayer services. And as always, see our Facebook page or our Instagram, for shareable quotes from our lesson notes, readings, and more.
