Karen continues her sermons related to the 2018 Annual Theme called “The Inner Pilgrimage.” The sub-theme for May and June is “Exploring the Way by Walking.” Here, in her June 3rd, 2018 “Follow the Signs” sermon, Karen relates the process of walking to our journey on our inner pilgrimage in our lives. She points out how are days are not only made of countless steps, but where we go, how we change directions, who we walk with all combine to comprise our individual life. She then describes how a place anchors a sense of stability. Then she describes how various signs on our journey point the way to go next through synchronicities, which are often called coincidences. She tells a series of stories from Carl Jung, the Bible, and other sources about synchronicities that happened that all constitute signs of meaning in guiding people on their journey.
