Letter from Facility & Rental Events Manager

Hi all, hope this finds you well. For those of you who haven’t met me yet, I’m Josh, the Facility & Events Manager. Event rentals are going to be a larger part of Seattle Unity moving forward. In fact, we aren’t even open, and we already have two weddings booked already! But what does that mean for you, the congregation? It means a couple of things. First and foremost, we need all the help we can get to spread the word that Seattle Unity does events rentals. If you know someone who wants to host a large event, tell them about us! Second it means that if you have an event you want to host, you can come talk to me (rentals@seattleunity.org). If your group is interested in having reoccurring events, you can come talk to me (still rentals@seattleunity.org).It also means that the calendar is going to book up much further in advance than it used to. We already have weddings booked in 2022 and 2023 and have people asking about dates all the way up to 2025, so if you know something may be coming up, ask as soon as you know. Finally, one of my biggest goals to give the congregation a place to celebrate milestones. If you are concerned about anything, come talk to me (tell me if you’ve heard this before, rentals@seattleunity.org). I can’t promise we can make every situation work, but the more I know, the more I can help try and find a solution that works for everyone.Thank you for reading.Be excellent to each other,Josh Garcia-Cotter
