Board Brief: November 2025
Key Updates & Actions from the Board of Trustees
Community Action – Risers Support
The Board is in support of the recently formed Risers (formerly One Million Rising) and grateful for the leadership of Carl Woestwin and Betsy Graef. If you have not yet gotten involved but interested, then look for upcoming meeting opportunities in the areas of human rights, environmental action, and voting rights. (Edit: Next meeting 11/30.)

Oktoberfest was a big hit as is evidenced by this fantastic photo (right) of Inez & Dirk, and taken by Jeffry Myers!
Oktoberfest Gratitude Celebration
We enjoyed a festive annual fall community dinner and dance with our Oktoberfest Gratitude Celebration Dinner on 10/12. Over 50 of our community members gathered to enjoy Oktoberfest food and drink; and dancing. It was a joyful evening of gratitude, community, and celebration.
Unity Worldwide Ministries (UWM) Annual Meeting & Reimagining Unity
The Board reviewed materials related to the 2025 Unity Worldwide Ministries Annual Meeting and the proposed vote to rejoin UWM and Unity World Headquarters into one Unity organization. UWM’s annual meeting will take place on 11/5. Stay tuned for the results of the vote and what that means for next steps. Seattle Unity has four delegates along with Rev. Karen and Rev. Diane that will be participating in the 11/5 meeting and voting.
Looking Ahead
The Board reaffirmed Seattle Unity’s focus on spiritual growth through service, transparent governance, and community inclusion. Fall priorities include completing the ADA ramp project, the nominating committee for new Board candidates; and strengthening volunteer engagement as the congregation moves into the holiday season.
