Celebrating Community, Connection, & Stewardship
Parkview: A Season of Connection & Possibility
As we reflect on the recent Parkview event season, we are grateful for the many opportunities it provided to connect with our wider community. April’s events had great community impact — bringing in new visitors, strengthening relationships, and growing our ministry’s reach beyond Sunday mornings — and we continue refining our attendance and revenue projections.
The Board recognizes that outreach is both a spiritual and practical investment. Every gathering, conversation, and connection plants seeds that often blossom in unexpected ways. As Unity teaches, we trust the creative process of life and know that every sincere effort contributes to the greater good. We continue to explore ways to strengthen event promotion, enhance community engagement, and maximize the use of our beautiful campus as a welcoming spiritual home for all. If you know of someone who could benefit by renting our building in whole or in part, please consider passing them along to MaSanda LaRa Gadd for follow up to see if the space works for their gathering.
Coming in July: A New Name Tag Initiative
One of the simplest ways we can live our mission is by helping people feel seen, known, and welcomed.
Beginning in July, Seattle Unity will launch a new name tag program designed to foster connection among longtime members, newcomers, visitors, and online participants joining us in person. Whether you’ve attended for decades or are walking through our doors for the first time, being greeted by name creates a sense of belonging and community.
This initiative emerged from congregant Lori Ott and Board discussions about hospitality and engagement. We believe that every person who enters our community is a unique expression of the Divine, worthy of recognition and connection. Watch for more information in the coming weeks as we prepare for the rollout in July.
Legacy Giving: The Gift of Community
At Seattle Unity, we often speak about the gifts we receive from this spiritual community -friendship, prayer support, inspiration, healing, and a sense of belonging. These blessings are possible because generations of dedicated individuals invested their time, talents, and resources to create and sustain this ministry.
As we move through the year, we invite everyone to reflect on giving as a spiritual practice. This is not simply about finances; it is about consciously supporting the communities and values that nourish our lives.
Legacy Giving offers one meaningful way to extend that support into the future. Through thoughtful estate planning and planned gifts, members and friends can help ensure that Seattle Unity remains a vibrant center for spiritual growth, service, and transformation for generations to come.
Whether through weekly giving, volunteer service, participation in ministry programs, or considering a Legacy Gift, each act of generosity strengthens the fabric of our community. Together, we demonstrate Unity’s principle of abundant good and affirm that what we lovingly give continues to bless others long after the gift is made.
“As we give from a consciousness of gratitude and abundance, we help create a future where spiritual community continues to thrive, inspire, and serve.”
