At the 8/16 Risers meeting, each person will have an opportunity to share a story and thoughts about what has resonated with them since our last meeting.
Election Season Update
We are coming up on the last period of the election season, so we will give Risers an update on the current status of important races in Washington and across the country, as well as on several state ballot issues:
- Which races are viewed as especially competitive and the latest info on how those races are going, based on non-partisan analysis by the Cook Political Report and other sources.
- Status of Washington State ballot initiative I-001, Parental Right to Review Education Materials, Receive Notifications, and Opt Out of Sexual-Health Education.
- Status of Washington State ballot initiative I-638, Washington Sex Verification Requirements for Female School Sports Initiative.
Postcard GOTV Campaign
We’ll also give an update on our postcard GOTV campaign and discuss and decide on next steps:
- How many postcards were distributed, how many were completed (turned in), and how many remain outstanding.
- Plans for postcard writing or other election-related activities up to the November election.
