For this last talk of 2017, Rev. Karen spoke of the passage of time and of change.
She quoted T.S. Eliot, “For last year’s words belong to last year’s language; And next year’s words await another voice”.
In Seattle Unity’s traditional Burning Bowl ritual, she led us in a process allowing us to let go of all of the events of 2017; so as to arrive for the new year with a clean slate. She invited all to come next Sunday for the companion to Burning Bowl, our White Stone ritual service.
As well as our individual releasing, she included a deeply heartfelt and popular releasing of national and global events of 2017.
Our guest artist, Chava Mirel, brought exquisitely appropriate music to accompany and enhance the service.
