Want to explore the origins of the Unity movement? Expand your knowledge of not only New Thought, but other world religions? Or find an inspirational book to deepen your spiritual practice? Just off the lobby and adjacent to the courtyard is the Seattle Unity Lending Library.
Come in and browse the shelves – let Spirit lead you to just the right book!
The shelves have grown immensely since Seattle Unity’s beginnings in 1960. Connie Pearce, now “Librarian Emeritus”, lovingly presided over the growth and organization of the library for over 20 years. We give thanks to Connie’s dedication and service, and her genuine love of books.
Didi Graves, Seattle Unity’s current librarian, encourages you to experience this incredible source of inspiration and knowledge.
Today, the shelves house a rich history of the Unity metaphysical movement and current modern day New Thought philosophies. There is a wide selection of books written by Myrtle and Charles Fillmore, Joel Goldsmith, Marianne Williamson, Deepok Chopra, Wayne Dyer and many more spiritual leaders and teachers. There are also books offering insights into world religions and a collection of Spiritual Circle Cinema DVDs.
The library operates on an honor system. Instructions for borrowing are located near the courtyard window. We ask that you fill out a library lending card with your contact information, indicate the books you are borrowing and place it on file. Books are borrowable for up to 3 weeks at a time. There is also a return box located in the same area.
