Samaritan Workshop

January 21 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

What went through your mind when you last saw this?

“I don’t have time…”  “I don’t have cash…”  “Will cash help?

Come and learn about this.

The Samaritan app reveals the story of unsheltered people whom you pass by daily. You can give towards critical needs and create lifelines of hope.

Learn the stories of people you pass everyday. Help cashlessly and effectively

These are our neighbors. As much as others ignore them, you don’t have to.

The Samaritan app reveals the stories of unsheltered people living in our communities and allows Samaritans to fund the critical needs of those people. Samaritan will conduct a brief training on the beacon distribution process, including how to explain Samaritan to new beacon holders, how the intake process works on your smartphone, and FAQs that may be asked by the beacon holders. After the training, we’ll head out in teams to find people in need who are interested in a beacon and to conduct the intake interview. These beacons have been life-changing for beacon holders, giving them access to food, counseling, and job opportunities, and leading some beacon holders to stable housing.
