Join us Sunday, April 30th at noon for an informative update on the new building project. Our architect (Olson Kundig) will present a conceptual vision of our new facility that has developed out of the visioning and congregational meetings of last summer and fall.
Seattle Unity’s Project Management firm (Costigan Integrated) has been assisting us with getting all the elements of project start-up going. This includes a budget for the design and construction costs, which will be presented to the membership for a vote. We will also have an update on the estimated schedule, which gives us an idea of when we will be celebrating and closing our existing building in 2018 in order to make room for the new.
As mentioned at the Annual Meeting, we have a signed Purchase and Sale Agreement with Greystar, our co-developer whp is purchasing the northern two-thirds of the property. Currently, the Development Agreement and other related agreements are being negotiated. It is anticipated that these contract negotiations will be completed by June 10th.
We are actively beginning our search for our transitional home during our time as a gypsy community. A related project is the clearing out of our existing physical home. We would love your assistance with this. If you are able to help in any way, please contact Diane Robertson (email@example.com).
In addition to the vote on the new building project budget at our April 30th meeting, we will also have a presentation and vote on proposed Bylaw changes. A packet of information with the proposed Bylaw changes and an update on the new building will be sent out to the membership in advance of the meeting.
